The Flying Doctor is a professional role that has recently been introduced to the automotive sector.
Specialising in the maintenance of carbon fibre, Flying Doctors were repair technicians for Boeing aircraft. Lamborghini was the first car manufacturer to request them. In 2008, after creating the Aventador LP 700-4, the first model equipped with a carbon monocoque, vehicle maintenance became much more complex.
This is why, after having “borrowed” Boeing's technicians, the automotive sector has acquired and specialised its own Flying Doctors.
